Breakfast Grilled Cheese Sandwich

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

  • 4 eggs

  • Salt

  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese

  • 4 slices American cheese

  • 4 thick slices of bread

DIRECTIONS

  1. Heat butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Crack eggs into a small bowl and whisk well. Season with salt. Add eggsto the hot pan and cook, stirring constantly, for about 1 minute until theyhave set in small curds. Remove pan from heat and whisk in creamcheese.

  3. Heat a large dry skillet over medium-low heat and brush lightly with butter.

  4. Layer cheese on 2 slices of bread. Top with the egg mixture. Close thesandwiches. Add to the pan and toast for about 3 minutes per side, untilgolden brown.
